One Week

Okay, this baby stuff is hard!

All that time I was inside, I just did whatever, and it worked great. Now they have this thing about "changing my diaper" which I find absolutely ridiculous, and very traumatic. It's cold out here - and even though they at least have the consideration to put clothes on me so I can be warm, they feel the need to strip me naked at least once a day! And when they don't take all my clothes off, they undress me halfway, bare my bottom, and rub cold wet wipes on it!! I keep yelling at Mom to stop doing that, but she just acts like it's all normal. I don't ever see anyone doing anything like that to her...

I do get to eat whenever I want now, instead of just when Mom is hungry...but afterwards - sometimes even during - they take my food away and hit me on the back! I haven't figured this out at all; it's bad enough that the bottles make me have to burp...why do they have to beat me up??

And apparently there's some big deal about something called a "birthday." We stayed up kinda late last night - well, Mom and Dad did; I was asleep, when all of a sudden Mama lifted me up in the air and said "Happy Birthday!!" and kissed me on the face. Don't get me wrong, I like being cuddled by my Mom...but I'd had a rough day, and I was asleep and she woke me up!

So I spit up on her.
